It is the higher carbon (0.04 – 0.10) version of the alloy, and is developed for enhanced creep resistance and for higher strength at temperatures above 1000 Degree F (537 Degree C).

Stainless Steel Plates offered by Hitesh Metal does not perform well in chloride solutions, even in small concentrations, or in sulphuric acid. It should be considered for applications requiring intermittent heating between 800 Degree F (427 Degree C) and 1650 Degree F (899 Degree C), or for welding under conditions which prevent a post-weld anneal.
